Taobao Global Purchase is committed to helping overseas small and medium-sized brands enter the mainland market and provide entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for overseas Chinese. Global buyers can deal with the understanding of local lifestyles and picking eyes, so that domestic consumers can buy overseas products that meet their personalities. At present, global purchases include more than 120,000 foreign brands from 116 countries, and the volume of transactions in 2018 increased by 42%. Served nearly 100 million consumers who are keen on Haitao, and meet the user’s personalized Haitao needs.

At present, there are nearly 120,000 cooperation brands on the Taobao global purchase platform, of which 80% are small and medium-sized brands. In May 2018, Taobao Global Purchase released the “Global Star Checking Plan”, based on the existing brand incubation model, indicating that more overseas small and medium-sized brands use the standard and high efficiency to open the Chinese market.
As of April 2019, Taobao Global Purchase has successfully incubated 368 realms of small and medium-sized brands. In 2019, Taobao Global Purchase will expand the scale of small and medium-sized brand incubation. It plans to successfully incubate 1,000 overseas small and medium-sized brands throughout the fiscal year and create 100 brands with 10 million transactions.
